Men all over history have exhibited a lot of efforts in building sustainable nations and better societies. Unfortunately, in every epoch, the challenge of promoting societal transformation through nation building have remained a herculean task for both the political elite and the subjects. In Africa, the situation seems to be worse due to the multiple challenges undermining continental transformations. Consequently, in this issue, scholars from different parts of the continent have interrogated the multiple challenges of nation building and policy studies. The first article identifies resource course as a major threat to nation building in Nigeria. That was followed by the discourse on how foreign migrant remittances promote nation building in the African city of Benin. Consequently, the role of youths, sovereigns, ethnicity and religion, in influencing the push and pull effects of nation building as well as policy posture in the different parts of Africa were all subsequently discussed. At the regional level, integration within the ECOWAS region, which has been weighed-down by bottlenecks was captured a sine-qua-non in African nation building process. Finally, I invite all scholars, policy makers, diplomats as well as the global reading audience to drink from the sprint of wisdom that have been encoded in this issue of the Journal of Nation Building and Policy Studies. Have a wonderful reading Experience! Dr Kelechi Johnmary Ani Department of History and Strategic Studies, Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike, Ikwo Nigeria
