I am delighted to present yet another edition of JGIDA. Knowledge thrives on unending discussion of issues.  Intellectualism is all about exploring and interrogating issues that confront the society. These are exactly what this journal continues to do for the whole world. The various articles in this edition have attempted to explore most of the issues that are not only dominant in but also relevant to gender and development, so I congratulate authors on being selected. The peer review processes are meticulously and thoroughly followed before the editor made the final selection. It is great also to note that even with challenges faced in the course of putting up this edition, the editor was still able to pull out   quality research articles within the pool of submission. I salute the willingness of researchers to take advantage of the reputation and coverage of the journal to globalise their views.     Dr Olukayode Segun Eesuola Department of Political............

The journal has always strived to represent the peak of refined scholarship not only in African but also around the world. This is done through periodic systemic inquiry to world views on an array of issues that bother on global challenges with a view to stimulating and entrenching research issues. From this point knowledge based generalizations are made, especially from intrinsically and inherently African viewpoints; those which promote indigenous ways of thinking, knowledge systems and other things that are based on social realities. Beyond Africa and African affairs, Gender, Information and Development also strives to engender high quality international scholarly excellence that focuses on the research needs of the diverse cross disciplinary su............
